Sinai Megibow, Investigative Counsel and Director of Investigative Services 

Prior to founding Venture Risk, Sinai had served as Vice President of Investigations at another corporate investigative firm, where he led complex and sensitive investigations, asset searches, due diligence matters, and business intelligence collection.  His clientele includes law firms, financial institutions, trade associations, government contractors, corporations, and individuals.

He was previously a litigation attorney at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP in New York City, where his practice focused on conducting internal investigations, representing clients facing government investigations and regulatory matters, and commercial litigation.  Some of his representative cases included investigating a variety of accounting improprieties at a Fortune 100 company, and, on behalf of its Audit Committee, recommending remedies to correct those improprieties; working with clients facing investigation by both the Department of Justice and the SEC to gather and analyze evidence, address liability issues, and develop defensive strategies; and negotiating favorable resolution of several commercial disputes.

Sinai holds a JD from the UCLA School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif; an MA in humanities from the University of Chicago; and, a BA, magna cum laude, in Classical Studies from Tulane University.  He is admitted to practice law in New York. 

Sinai is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, The Reid Institute, and an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

John Fitzgerald, Senior Investigator

John has extensive and multi-faceted experience in the law enforcement and security fields.  Among his many positions with the Nassau County, NY police department, he served in supervisory capacities in the precinct detective squad, SWAT Team and Narcotics Enforcement.  He is a certified security guard instructor, licensed private investigator and certified American Polygraph Association examiner.

Before joining the Venture Risk Investigations division of the Draco Group, his private sector work experience includes being Vice President of Investigations at another security investigations firm, an Instructor of Interview and Interrogation for a private company at the Connecticut State Police Academy, and administrator and instructor at the New York Institute of Security and Polygraph Sciences.

John’s educational accomplishments include a BA from St. John’s University, Backster School of Lie Detection, Nassau County Police Academy, and the NYPD Internal Affairs Investigator School.  He has also taken courses through the FBI and US Secret Service.

Among John’s awards are four Congressional citations, numerous Excellent Police Duty Certificates, an award for Meritorious Police Service, and a Medal of Commendation.  For more information, please contact VRI or contact John directly.
